Strategic test
01.12.2016
Tandridge isn't the longest course in the world, but it's a good test of course management. It's narrow in parts and the combination of woodland and extensive bunkering means you have to keep your ball on a string. The back nine is the better of the two sides by some margin, but all the holes are presented in fine condition. The members are also friendly and the food is top notch.
Game of two halves

The front nine may be bland but is nonetheless challenging with length compensated by many bunkers and tricky greens. The second nine certainly gives greater views and there are some fiendish holes but luckily I played with a member whose local knowledge helped my score. Would definitely play again.
Tricky Tandridge

Not the longest course at 6500 yards but it's a testing challenge nonetheless. The course weaves through extensive mature woodland. The front nine is quite bland in honesty but the course ups the ante at the 13th, with a brutal yet brilliant par 3 hole that plays 220 yards, with the green guarded by trees and bunkers. Miss right there and you are dead. A very friendly golf club and in great condition.
