All-season

When the crocuses start blooming early in the year, every golfer in Norway's capital region starts thinking about where they can go to play (the Oslo courses usually don't open until the end of April or early May). Invariably, everybody thinks of Onsøy. This course, near Fredrikstad, is quite an interesting forest course, set in a rolling landscape. I've played there in the dead of winter, when no other courses nearby would let people on their greens. When the fairways and ponds are frozen solid, it's not really 'golf' per se, but it's fun day out in the fresh air, and you get to feel what swinging a club is like.
Doglegs and trees

Onsøy GK is a golf course with quite a few doglegs and surrounded by trees. Somewhat hilly, but overall a good challenge.
