Beware the Yellow Peril
14.04.2016
Don't be put off by the name! Shines d'Or translates to Golden Gorse, words that strike terror into the heart of golfers who have tangled with this thorny enemy. Although undoubtedly pretty, gorse rips clothing and devours golf balls. However, on this particularly lovely course, the 'yellow peril' isn't as big a threat as the name implies. A lake comes into play on 8 and 11 and there are a number of holes where white out of bounds stakes pose considerably more of a threat than any yellow flowers.
