Crail Balcomie is an historic, classic links course designed by Old Tom Morris. The clubhouse is extremely friendly with good food, awe-inspiring views and the members are welcoming to all. Great panoramic coastline vistas from the highest tees. Some shots where adjacent golfers are very close can be a little nerve-wracking for the higher handicappers. Many holes are really thrilling, especially those along the beach.

Formed in 1786 and the seventh oldest course in the world. Balcomie course is set on a mango cent coastline and features lots of testing holes. Standard of the greens are first class, as too the scenery.

Balcomie ist ein klassischer und traditioneller Linksplatz, der von jedem Loch eine fantastische Sicht auf das Meer bietet. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist, dass Sonntags immer Rennveranstaltungen auf dem direkt nebenan liegendem Race Track stattfinden und der Motorenlärm die schöne Idylle doch sehr trübt. Besser also unter der Woche spielen (gilt für beide Plätze). Ein Besuch und eine Runde ist es aber immer wert!!! ________________________________ Craighead ist ein klassischer und gut zu spielender Linksplatz ohne wenn und aber. Das Design ist von Gil Hanse, welcher auch den Olympic Golf Course in Rio de Janero für die Olympischen Spiele 2016 entworfen hat.

Der Platz ist schön gelegen. Bei vielen vollen Flights muss man sich daran gewöhnen, dass die Bälle aus allen Richtungen heranfliegen oder rollen, da die Fairways kaum durch Büsche abgetrennt sind
