An Open qualifying venue, the Barassie course has undergone a major makeover in recent times. Not everyone approves of the alterations but that's often the case with golf courses. The new set-up provides more options, allows nine holes to be rested during the winter and the nine 'old' holes offer a speedy alternative for those pressed for time. This links/heathland challenge is too enjoyable to rush.
