Lyon was founded in 1921, and Les Brocards was the original course, designed by Fred Hawtree. In 1991 they opened a new and longer course, Les Sangliers, which has taken over status as the main course. I'm not sure which I prefer of the two - they're both good courses in parkland/woodland setting. Neither has much elevation changes, making them easy to walk. Despite being close to the city of Lyon, the resort feels almost rural. Perennial favourite resort for visiting societies, playing both courses over a weekend.
