Perfection on the greens
02.07.2017
Played here just a few days before the Scottish Open qualifier. The greens were sublime, and I also loved the shaping and the beautiful green complexes that are like golf architectural pieces of art. The only drawback of the course is that one side of it runs along a road where you can hear the traffic - and where you can see some industrial sights ('Your line is that Mini sign' I was told on one hole). The clubhouse is an old stone building and inside it's full of traditional decor, including old wooden lockers with brass name plates lining the halls. The course is from 1892 but the club was founded in 1787.
