For solid golf courses at one resort

Barefoot Resort in north Myrtle Beach features four golf courses designed by Greg Norman, Davis Love, Tom Fazio, and Pete Dye. The courses are as diverse as the personalities that designed them. My personal favorite is the Love course, which incorporates the re-created ruins of an old plantation home along holes three through seven. The course offers generous landing areas and a chance to put up a good score. Least favorite was the Norman course. Did not fit the eye very well. But all four courses are enjoyable.

The big question the bugged me for most of the front nine was whether or not the ruins, which feature quite frequently, were genuine. Research revealed them to be the "re-created ruins of an old plantation house", which is possibly no more than one club length away from being genuine. A truly impressive course presented in top-notch condition.
