Wir durften den Ballybunion Old bei irischem Wetter mit zeitweiligem Regen und viel Wind spielen. Der Blick von den Spielbahnen, Abschlägen und Grüns auf den Nordatlantik fantastisch und atemberaubend. Jedoch konnten wir wiederum wegen den vor uns sehr langsam spielenden Amerikanern, die es nicht verstehen Golf zu spielen und die Rules einzuhalten, keinen Spielfluss aufrecht erhalten. Die Fairways und die Grüns sind in einem sensationen spielbaren Pflegezustand. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder...

Der Old Course ist ein grossartiger, anspruchsvoller Linksplatz. Der Cashen Course ist aufgrund des hohen Roughs und der engen Fairway kaum spielbar - viele Bälle mitnehmen!

This golf course is a serious test of golf. It's all depends with the wind so if there is a very hard wind you need enjoy the experience and not think about how much you are shooting. There are various signature holes like number 2 and number 7 which are both long par 4s that require a lot of attention. What makes it one of the best golf courses in Ireland is the entire golf course as hole, because it's quite a simple links layout, but when you tie everything together it just makes it amazing.

Located on the north west County Kerry coast, Ballybunion boasts a long stretch of sand dunes and offers superb views of the Atlantic coast. If the wind decides to blow, which is likely, raise a glass at the end of play if you mange to play to your handicap.
