Very pretty view of the sea along the beach from some of the first nine holes. Last 4 or 5 holes are gorgeous amongst big mature trees. Very average practice area unfortunately.

You know you're in for something special when you approach the first green and see the terraced gardens and the palatial estate beyond the green. Chiberta has a dual personality: the links style holes right next to the beach contrast with the parkland holes, dominated by impressive oaks and pines. It was designed by Tom Simpson, whom many regard as one of the most brilliant golf course architects (he also did Chantilly and Morfontaine near Paris). Chiberta is laid out in a figure eight shape, that means that you cross the country road four times during the round. But it is genuinely a joy to play this course.

One of the few links courses on France's Atlantic coastline. Nicely presented course that features a good mix of links and tree lined holes. Lots of cracking views add to the experience.

Cadre magnifique, malgré avoir joué 7 trous sous la pluie. Grande diversité de paysages, trous en bordure de l’océan et d’autres boisés. Certains trous techniques car on a du mal à jouer à plat, vu la configuration du fairway. Quant à l’entretien du parcours, c’est du bonheur ! Fairways et greens sont impeccables ! En résumé, ne pas hésiter à faire ce parcours, même sous la pluie il a un charme fou !!

Superbe golf de type links sur certains trous et plutôt boisé sur d'autres. Certains trous bénéficie d'une une vue sur l'océan à couper le souffle. La difficulté du parcours ne réside pas dans sa distance mais plutôt sur le tracé des trous dans la forêt ou une erreur de club pourra vous coûter cher. L'entretien du parcours est impeccable et la qualité des greens est parfaite. Si vous passez dans la région les golfs d'ilbarritz et de Biarritz le phare valent aussi le détour.
