Heathland in links world
23.02.2017
If Duke's had been anywhere else it would be much better known. But people come to St Andrews to play links, so it gets overlooked. Quite a long (too long for most people to want to walk) and well-bunkered, tough course. Plenty of trouble to deal with if you're not straight and long off the tee. Some very slopey greens as well.

Steeped in history as the oldest and most iconic course in the world, this record hosting Open venue is like no other. Established in 1552, the Old Course is considered by many to be the Home of the Golf because the sport was first played there in 1400s. Unique feature of the Old Coursebus seven double greens, with hole numbers always adding up to 18. The Road Hole 17th and iconic 18th over the Swilcan Bridge is a pinch-yourself moment.
