Very friendly, despite the dismaying sign at the first tee admonishing that my gender (women) are not allowed to play on Saturdays before 2pm. Mussenden is classic links but with some tough rough if you're a ball-sprayer. The last hole is very memorable, with an approach up a steep slope and the clubhouse smack behind the green. Hard not to think of whether the clubhouse windows are shatter-proof when addressing the ball.

Breathtaking views of the River Bann, Donegal and on a clear day Scotland and the Isle of Islay. The Mussenden Course is a quintessential seaside track, with firm, fast greens. Even closer to the sea is the nine hole Bann Course.
